Engineers who join your team and work to your standards
When the roadmap is set and you are short of people to build it, we place contract engineers, analysts and architects inside your team. They use your tools, follow your sprint cadence and report to your leads.
You keep control of the work
Our people sit inside your delivery model, whether that is Scrum, scaled Agile, Kanban or something of your own. You set priorities, review code and approve releases. We handle sourcing, vetting, employment and replacement, so your managers spend their time on the product and not on recruiting.
Every candidate is checked before you see them
Contractors who turn out to be someone else, or who cannot do the work they claimed, cost you weeks. Before we submit anyone, we verify who they are and test what they can do.
- Resume and employment history verified
- Education and credentials checked
- Technical assessment for the specific role
- Interview with a subject-matter expert in the same discipline
- Identity verification, including checks during the interview itself
- A signed integrity statement from the candidate
People who already know your sector
A payments engineer needs to understand reconciliation and audit trails. An EHR analyst needs to know what a bad interface does to a clinician. We place people with that context in financial services, healthcare and healthtech, cybersecurity, ecommerce, SaaS, media and streaming, and game studios.
Scale up for a release, scale down after
Add one specialist for a migration, or a small pod for a platform launch, and reduce the team when the work stabilises. When an assignment ends, we run a structured handover so knowledge stays with your team and not with the contractor.

How it works
Role definition
We meet your hiring manager to agree the skills, domain knowledge, security requirements, location and start date for each role. If a role needs onsite presence or a background check, we settle that here.
Sourcing and vetting
Our recruiters search for people with the right technical and sector background. Each candidate goes through our verification and assessment steps before we submit them to you.
Your interviews and selection
You interview the shortlist and choose. We handle the offer, paperwork and any compliance checks your organization requires.
Onboarding
We coordinate access, equipment and environment setup with your IT team so the engineer can join stand-ups and start on real tickets as soon as access is in place.
Ongoing support and handover
Your account lead checks in on performance, manages extensions and backfills, and runs a documented handover when the assignment ends.
Common questions
How is staff augmentation different from outsourcing?
With staff augmentation you direct the work. Our engineers join your team, follow your processes and report to your leads. With outsourcing, the vendor owns the delivery. If you want us to own an outcome instead, see managed delivery teams.
How quickly can someone start?
It depends on how specialised the role is and how long your access and compliance steps take. We agree a target start date with you at the role definition stage and tell you early if the market makes that date unrealistic.
Who employs the engineer?
NexGenTek does. We handle pay, benefits and employment compliance. You approve the person, direct their day-to-day work and can ask us to replace them if the fit is wrong.
Can you provide a small team rather than individuals?
Yes. We place individual contributors, small cross-functional pods, or a full dedicated team, depending on how much of the work you want to direct yourself.
